GRADUATE CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS ON HEALTH CARE QUALITY ACCREDITATION AND PATIENT SAFETY
The main challenge of healthcare quality resides in the fundamental principle of reducing the number of errors and continually improving performance. For the last two decades, the quality of healthcare services has been constantly changing for the better. Moreover, in today’s highly competitive and changing world, an organization’s survival and success does depend on vigilant planning and preparation for the future. As such, most of healthcare organizations worldwide are organizing their systems as to be more competitive and more cost effective based on the constituents of quality systems. Within this context health care professionals need to improve their knowledge and skills
In collaboration with The American Institute for Healthcare Quality (AIHQ),the Society of Healthcare Academicians invites abstract proposals for paper and poster presentations for the Fifth Annual International Conference on Healthcare Quality, Patient Safety and Accreditation. This is being planned for Antalya, Turkey from 18-21 April 2012 They are also planning to organize some short courses before this international congress, between the dates April 17-18
The aims of these certificate programs are to help develop professional skills, teaching, or research skills at all levels. The courses are taught by university professors who are experienced in their fields and who provide the benefit of their experience to course participants. These courses will also assist the participants in understanding, developing and implementing quality, accreditation in health care and related issues and prepare the participants for future professional challenges.
Short Courses, which will cover topics falling under the broad umbrella of quality in health care and accreditations to be delivered by AGI Consulting (http://www.agiconsultingllc.com and http://www.agiconsultingturkey.com) and Society of Health Care Academicians and will be certified by the American Institute for Health Care Quality (http://www.aihq.us).

Format
Our short courses are certificate courses. All participants who successfully complete the programme will be awarded a certificate issued by AGI Consulting and Society of Health care Academicians to be used for further qualification in quality in health care and accreditation.
If the participants would like to be certified by American Institute for Health Care Quality, they can get a certificate from them as well. (That costs extra $500 per participant per course.)
Course Length
Participants will have 1-3 days of classroom-based training including group presentations and case studies
Teaching methods
Teaching methods comprise lectures, seminars and practical course learning sessions in small groups.
